(in person seminar) - Advances in artificial intelligence/machine learning methods provide tools that have broad applicability in scientific research. These techniques are being applied across the diversity of nuclear physics research topics, leading to advances that will facilitate scientific discoveries and societal applications. In this seminar the aim is to give a short and pedestrian introduction to the whys and hows we can use (with examples) machine learning methods in nuclear physics. And why this could (or should) be of interest.
